About Us
MEET AND GREET:
We assure the best match at Pet Vacations by having you review and choose your caretaker online. Then we ask that YOU and YOUR PET visit before your trip. Our goal is for you to pick up a happy, healthy pet that wishes you would go on vacations more often!
EXERCISE:
We’ll take your pet hiking or walking, plus he has the choice to play with a few dogs, always making sure your pet is not overwhelmed.
FEEDING:
Your pet will eat only his own food and treats that you bring. We don’t want to upset his tummy, so we feed our clients separately and watch that they don’t sneak too close to another’s dish.
SPECIAL NEEDS:
If your pet is geriatric, a young puppy, or has special needs- a special diet, or medications to be given- Pet Vacations can accommodate you. We offer caretakers with no other pets, so young puppies or pets with compromised immune systems are not exposed to diseases accidentally carried by other animals.
We keep chemicals in our homes to a minimum, using vinegar for cleaning and borax to kill fleas. All dogs must be on a protective flea and tick program when they come into our homes.
Transportation:
We are happy to transport your pet to a grooming or vet appointment. We will also pick them up and drop them off from your home. Fees vary.
BathING:
We will bathe and comb out your dog, at your request, before he comes home.
We cannot accept aggressive pets or those with contagious diseases.
